About the Event

The 1st Annual Lake of Bays Realtors Cupcake Baking Competition & Auction is a community event designed to bring together amateur bakers for a fun and charitable cause. All proceeds from the event will support The Lake of Bays Winter Pantry, helping to provide essential supplies to those in need during the winter months.

How to Enter

Step 1

Eligibility

The contest is open to amateur bakers only. You can enter as an individual or as part of a team representing a business or organization.

Step 2

Registration

Submit your registration by 4:00pm on September 20th to info@ashleyjeffery.ca. The entrance fee must also be paid by this deadline.

Step 3

Entrance Fees

Kids 15 and under: $5 each. Ages 16 and up: $10 each. Ensure your cupcakes are fully baked, homemade, and not store-bought.

Submission Details

All cupcake submissions must be delivered between 10:00am and 11:30am on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Chestnut Park Real Estate – Lake of Bays Realtors office, located at 2676 Muskoka Rd 117, Baysville. Each submission should include a batch of 6 cupcakes clearly marked with the recipe name. Please ensure all baked goods are fully baked, homemade, and not store-bought.

Registration and entrance fees must be submitted by 4:00pm on September 20th to info@ashleyjeffery.ca. The entrance fee is $5 for ages 15 and under, and $10 for ages 16 and up. All entrance fees will be donated to The Lake of Bays Winter Pantry. We look forward to seeing your creative and delicious entries!

Judging Criteria

Judging will commence at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Entries will be judged anonymously to ensure fairness. Each contestant will be assigned a number at the time of submission. Our panel of three community judges will evaluate the cupcakes based on taste, presentation, and adherence to the theme ‘Fall Fun in Lake of Bays’.

The judges’ decisions are final. Prizes will be announced after the judging. The remaining three cupcakes from each submission will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to The Lake of Bays Winter Pantry. We appreciate your participation and support for this charitable cause!

Auction Process

After the competition results are announced, the remaining three cupcakes from each submission will be auctioned off to the highest bidders. This is a fantastic opportunity to take home some delicious, creatively themed cupcakes while supporting a great cause. All proceeds from the auction will be donated directly to The Lake of Bays Winter Pantry, helping to provide essential food supplies to those in need during the winter months.

The auction will commence immediately following the announcement of the winners. Participants and attendees will have the chance to bid on their favourite cupcakes, with each batch starting at a minimum bid. Don’t miss this chance to contribute to the community and enjoy some delectable treats!

Your generous bids will make a significant impact on the lives of many families in our community. By participating in the auction, you are not only enjoying the fruits of our talented bakers’ labour but also supporting a vital cause. Every dollar raised will help stock the shelves of The Lake of Bays Winter Pantry, ensuring that no family goes hungry this winter.
